Dear daata,

Austral coke is another teledata. The finacials will look good. But it is very hard for the stock price to perform as it has no good will with investors. Even traders won`t dare to touch it. The managemnet is most undependable. The stock will go up only when the promoters want it to go and when they will think so is simply unpredictable.

Question by Swadesh Chakrabortty CPI-M
Whether the government is considering revision of gas price of Reliance Industries as and when the gas is available from KG Basin. Whether RIL has requested the government to raise the gas price at 4.20 dollars per unit; whether Oil and Natural Gas Corporation is supplying gas at a price of 2.2 dollars / unit.

Answer by Dinsha Patel, minister of state in the ministry of petroleum & natural gas
No, sir. No request has been made to the government by RIL to raise the gas price. Under administered price mechanism, gas is being supplied by ONGC to power and fertiliser sectors at Rs 3,200 / thousand standard cubic metres and to transport sector and Court mandated small consumers at Rs 3,840 / mscm. In the North East, the supply to the mentioned categories of consumers is at Rs 1,920/mscm and Rs 2,304/mscm respectively. At US dollar 1= Rs 45, these prices translate to US dollar 1.792/mmbtu, US dollar 2.15 / mmbtu, US dollar 1.076/mmbtu and US dollar 1.20 / mmbtu, respectively. APM price is not comparable with market determined prices under production sharing contract.

SO THE CONCLUSION. THE PSC RATE OF 4.2 DOLLARS WILL BE STRUCK DOWN AS BEING AGAINST THE NATION`S INTEREST. THIS WILL PAVE WAY FOR SUPPLY OF GAS TO RNRL AS PER FAMILY MOU.

This is my personal opinion considering the fact that RIL dropped nearly 6 percent and RNRL gained more than 10 percent yesterday.

If the explanation for extending the markets is to sync with the timings of global markets, then as per this explanation at one point in time the markets will have to be open 24 hours to sync to various global exchanges... or at least till 1.30 am to sync with Dow closing hours!

I certainly dont see any point in this extension. As someone mentioned, added strain on the entire system!

IS INDIA A SECULAR COUNTRY ??? LETS INTROSPECTS !!!

1) A secular state is a concept of secularism, whereby a state or country purports to be officially neutral in matters of religion, supporting neither religion nor irreligion.

2) A SECULAR STATE ALSO CLAIMS TO TREAT ALL ITS CITIZENS EQUALLY REGARDLESS OF RELIGION, AND CLAIMS TO AVOID PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT FOR A CITIZEN FROM A PARTICULAR RELIGION/NONRELIGION OVER OTHER RELIGIONS/NONRELIGION

A secular state is not an atheistic state.
In some secular states, there can be a huge majority religion in the population (e.g. Thailand, Turkey, United States, etc.)
and in others there may be great religious diversity (e.g. India, Lebanon, etc).
Not all legally secular states are completely secular in practice.
In France for example, many Christian holy days are official holidays for the public administration, and teachers in Catholic schools are salaried by the state.
IN INDIA, THE GOVERNMENT GIVES SUBSIDY IN AIRFARE FOR MUSLIMS GOING ON HAJ PILGRIMAGE(SEE HAJ SUBSIDY). IN 2007, THE GOVERNMENT HAD TO SPEND RS. 47,454 PER PASSENGER.
IN 2008 THE HAJ SUBSIDY PAID BY THE INDIAN GOVERNMENT WAS RS. 7 BILLION (RS 700 CRORE).

In my view, subsidy incurred by the government for funding the Haj is not only unconstitutional but also a drain on the taxpayers’ money.
Financial assistance to pilgrims under the Haj Act is :
violative of Articles 14 (equality before law),
violative of Articles 15 (prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race and caste) and
violative of Articles 27 (freedom as to payment of taxes for promotion of any particular religion) of the Constitution.

P.S.
In small cities, in normal public school( not govt) expenditure for children upto primary education is around Rs 300 per month i.e. Rs 3500 per year.
IN RS 700 CR , 20 LACKS CHILDREN CAN BE PROVIDED FREE EDUCATION IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS( NOT IN GOVT SCHOOL).

Some thoughts on Market : Why in my view market may correct to fair value levels? :

(a) I dont consider ant charts or TA for my views, I am looking at only present fundamentals and comnparing them with the historical values and movements of NIFTY!

(b) Markets have doubled from 10.5 PE (2500) to 22 PE (5160)- Historically PE 22 is the selling levels

(c) Div yield has come down to 1%: again by historically it is the selling level

(d)Price to Book value is around 3.6!:- Historically around 4 is the selling level (Might have goneup to 5-6 when when touched 28 levels!

(e) PE/G ratio if growth G is taken 15% is around 1.46! So 1.5 is the selling level and 0.5 is the excellent buying level! So we may drift down to 0.8 to 0.9 levels

(f) All above viewsare based on around 15% growth for Nifty stocks!

(g) Situation may change if growth is above 25% in FY 10-11! Is it feasible or Possible?

(h) Individual stocks will provide the buying opportunities! This is the period where new sectors will emerge as leaders of next bull run!

SO LET US SEARCH FOR NEW LEADERS!

Why marketshave to correct deep?

(a) Profit booking by funds, the funds who have bought from 2500 levels would have avg price on higher side might be around 3600-3800(My assumption by prev analyses and seeing the strategy funds adopt while buying and selling); When they sell the may end with avg selling price of around 4300-4400! This gives them the yield of around 13-15% P.a return

(b) Hence when profit booking is done it is for an avg selling price!

(c) The final panic will be due to long covering as similar to short covering!

PS: When funds buy, there are two stages, one is accumulation, wher in large qty are bought at different price bands, without causing much effect on the price! SEcond phase is price formation, where in price is pushed up with less qty but by market orders, which results in short squeeze and higher price formation!

Folks , these are purely my understanding after watching market for many years. So I can be totally wrong in my analyses!

WBG if boarders can provide their views!

hi supreet, why only 3 out of 10 calls? i will give u at least 8 out of 10 calls right from my toss of coin technology...

i am purposely reducing it to 8 from 10 out of 10 coz i am afraid 10 out of 10 may give u a heart attack...

if u r prepared to sit with cardiac drug in ur pocket, i am prepared to give 10 out of 10 calls right....

u can overestimate ur calls saying you have gone short after nifty tanks, and u have gone long after nifty jumps, but dont underestimate people whom u dont know...

MUMBAI: On November 17, when chairman Mukesh Ambani addresses Reliance Industries’ annual general meeting, he is likely to announce the group`s next foray: EDUCATION.

India’s biggest business house is planning to launch a private university in line with the Ivy League institutions, says a company insider, though the contours are yet to be finalised. And for a country betting on its demographic dividend, that would be good news.

Already populated with corporates such as the Birlas and the Mahindras, besides private equity players and institutional investors, the sector can absorb a lot more by way of private investment.

According to an IDFC-SSKI report, Indians spend billion annually on private education. The four segments of the education market — plus two, higher, vocational and supplemental — present a -billion opportunity by 2012. It is expected to grow at a CAGR of 16%, says a CLSA Pacific study.

“Mukesh envisions bringing global education to India. He will outline a road map for the business in the AGM speech,” says an official close to RIL who did not wish to be named. An RIL spokesman declined to comment.

The contours of RIL’s plans are yet to emerge, but another power house, the AV Birla Group, has already played its hand in commercial education with its Sarala Birla Academy in Bangalore. It has plans to open schools to offer modern education to students in the country’s hinterland.

Fatwa issued against Vande Mataram
Times Now 3 November 2009, 11:41am IST
Jamait-e-Ulema Hind or the JEU on Tuesday issued a fatwa against singing national song Vande Mataram.

According to a resolution, Muslims should not sing Vande Mataram as its reciting is against the Islam.

The resolution, which was passed at the Deoband national convention meet, says that Muslims should not sing Vande Mataram as some verses of the patriotic song are against the tenets of Islam. The JEU leader said that the some of the line in the song is against Islam.

Meanwhile, home minister P Chidambaram addressed a Jamait-e-Ulema Hind conference in Deoband today.

Meanwhile, the Muslim Law Board justified the decision saying that (Muslims) can’t offer prayers to anyone but Allah. Kamal Farooqui, a prominent leader of the Board said, We love the nation but can`t worship it.
